2. Hosting and website delivery
To deliver this website and protect it against faults and misuse, our server processes technical request data: IP address, requested URL, time, response status, browser and operating-system information and, where transmitted, the referring page. Hosting and technical maintenance providers receive this data where necessary to operate the site. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure, reliable website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Technical records are retained according to their operational and security purpose; records needed to investigate an incident or assert legal claims may be retained until that matter is resolved. You can request details using the contact address above.
Fonts and portfolio images are served from this website. Maps, Instagram feeds and WhatsApp are not embedded.
3. Your tattoo enquiry
The tattoo planner works in your browser. Selected artist, style, placement and size are kept in session storage for the current browser session; free message text is not saved by the planner. Opening WhatsApp passes your prepared text to that service so you can decide whether to send it. Nothing is sent to the studio automatically. Please do not enter medical or other sensitive information in the planner.
When you contact us, we use the details and message you provide to answer your enquiry and arrange your appointment (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), or to handle other correspondence in our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)). Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to resolve the request; appointment and transaction records may be retained where statutory obligations or legal claims require it. These records are not part of website analytics.
4. Privacy choices and browser storage
You can use the site without analytics or advertising measurement. Choose “Essential only”, accept both optional categories, or select them separately under “Settings”. Change or withdraw consent at any time through “Privacy settings” in the footer. Withdrawal applies to future processing and does not affect processing already carried out with consent.
We remember your consent choice in local storage for up to 180 days and your planner selections in session storage. This storage supports features you request (§ 25(2)(2) TDDDG; Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Browser settings may clear stored data sooner. Analytics and Ads cookies and the associated processing require your consent (§ 25(1) TDDDG and Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
5. Optional Google Analytics
If you enable Analytics, Google Analytics 4 measures page visits and interactions with portfolios, the artist finder, tattoo planner and contact links. Data includes pseudonymous browser identifiers, device and browser information, page paths, language, timestamps and campaign parameters. Technical connection data, including your IP address, reaches Google; Google states that GA4 does not log or store individual IP addresses. We do not send enquiry text, your name, email address or telephone number as event parameters. Google Signals and advertising personalisation are disabled.
The cookies “_ga” and “_ga_…” have a default lifetime of up to two years, subject to shorter browser limits. Our GA4 property retains event-level data for 2 months and user-level data for 14 months; new activity can reset the user retention period. These settings do not limit aggregated reports.
6. Optional Google Ads measurement
If you enable Ads, Google Ads records telephone and WhatsApp link clicks to help evaluate advertising. A click is an enquiry action, not a confirmed appointment. Measurement can process ad-click identifiers, page and device information, timestamps, consent state and a random identifier used to reduce duplicate clicks. The “_gcl_…” cookies used for ad attribution typically last up to 90 days. The duplicate-click identifier is valid for 30 minutes within the browser session. We do not use enhanced conversions or personalised advertising.
Google Tag Manager loads only after you consent to at least one optional category. Tags are then restricted to the category you approved. If you refuse both categories, our implementation does not load Google measurement tags. Withdrawing consent reloads the page and clears measurement cookies available to this website.
7. Providers and international transfers
The Google services described above are provided for users in the EEA by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google may also process data in the USA and other countries. Google describes reliance on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework for certified US recipients and standard contractual clauses where applicable. Read Google’s privacy policy, its transfer safeguards and cookie information.
Following external links connects you to the relevant provider, which applies its own privacy policy. WhatsApp and Instagram are Meta services; email sent to our Gmail address is processed through Google’s email service. These providers may process data outside the EEA. 8. Your rights
Subject to the legal conditions, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction and portability of your personal data. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw optional consent at any time. Contact us at the email address above. You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, including the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information. Optional measurement is not required to make an enquiry. We do not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects through this website.
